Timeline
It can take more than three years to design, consent and construct even the simplest commercial scale wind turbine. A typical project timeline is shown below.
Project status
Partnerships for Renewables and British Waterways are currently in the middle of the project development phase (indicated by the red arrow on the diagram below).
Partnerships for Renewables is optimistic that the project will be ready for submission for a planning application before the end of 2010.
Throughout the development process we constantly gather information to feed into the layout and design of a project. If at any stage it becomes apparent that a site is not suitable for development, we will stop work on the site.
