Partnerships for Renewables

Partnerships for Renewables is an experienced team of renewables experts that specialises in working with the public sector to develop, operate and manage renewable energy projects on public sector land across the UK.

Partnerships for Renewables (PfR) was set up by the Carbon Trust in 2006 to develop, construct and aoperate renewable energy projects on public sector land, or land that is held for public benefit.

Partnerships for Renewables is owned by Carbon Trust Enterprises, the HSBC Environmental Infrastructure Fund and OPTrust Private Markets Group. PfR covers all development costs and prides itself on its open and thorough consultation process. PfR is a responsible developer and only develops appropriate sites. If at any stage it becomes apparent that a site is not suitable for development, PfR stops work on the site. PfR is technologically-neutral, and is currently looking at wind power and small-scale hydro power installations.
