The Mnistry of Justice (MoJ) is currently working with Partnerships for Renewables to investigate the green electricity generating potential of its land resources.

Climate change is a serious problem and MoJ is committed to meeting the Government's climate change targets and mandates for sustainable development. MoJ wants to make a difference on sustainability by embedding sustainable development into all its operations.

MoJ is not only looking at ways to cut its carbon dioxide emissions but also into the feasibility of generating renewable energy on its land.

As part of this partnership, it is working with Partnerships for Renewables to develop a wind energy project at the former RAF Coltishall base, near the newly-built Bure Prison.
