First Cloich public exhibition

Published: 22/09/2011

Following on from the submission of a scoping report to the Scottish Government, Partnerships for Renewables and Forestry Commission Scotland are holding a public exhibition to discuss the potential renewable energy project in Cloich Forest. The public exhibition will take place at the Eddleston Village Hall on Tuesday 4 October between 6pm and 9pm and people can drop in at anytime for a discussion.

Having carried out extensive feasibility work and received some responses on the scoping report, Partnerships for Renewables is continuing its work on Cloich. During the exhibition, the local community will be presented with key information including potential local viewpoints and will have the opportunity to ask questions to the development team.

Craig Mullen, Communications Manager at Partnerships for Renewables, said: “We have had initial discussions with number of local groups and work is progressing well. There is still some way to go before any planning submission and we still have some studies to complete. This event will be the first in a series over the coming months and we are keen to keep the local community informed of the results of our work so far and consult on any questions they may have on our development process.”
