Timeline
It can take anything between three to five years to design, consent and construct even the simplest commercial scale wind turbine. A typical project timeline is shown below.
Project status
Partnerships for Renewables and Oxford City Council are currently at the early stages of the project development phase (indicated by the red arrow on the diagram below). With the need to carry out the relevant environmental and technical studies, Partnerships for Renewables expects that the project will be ready for submission for a planning application no earlier than late 2010.
Throughout the development process we constantly gather information to feed into the layout and design of a project. If at any stage it becomes apparent that a site is not suitable for development, we will stop work on the site.
