About Us
Partnerships for Renewables was set up by the Carbon Trust in 2006 to develop, construct and operate renewable energy projects, primarily on public sector land.
Focused on a development process tailored to the specific needs of the public sector, Partnerships for Renewables now provides a way for public sector bodies and private landowners to access the economic and environmental benefits associated with renewable energy and contribute towards the fight against climate change without diverting resources away from frontline services or core business activities.
Partnerships for Renewables is currently working with a variety of public sector bodies and private landowners across the UK including the Forestry Commission, British Waterways, the Environment Agency, the Coal Authority, Ipswich Borough Council, the University of Reading, Caerphilly County Borough Council and Clackmannanshire Council.
Partnerships for Renewables was the third business to be set up by Carbon Trust Enterprises Ltd. To find out more about other Carbon Trust Enterprise businesses please visit CTEL's website.
