Since the Industrial Revolution, we have been burning fossil fuels such as oil, coal and natural gas to provide us with power, energy and products. As the population has increased so has the amount of fuels we have been burning to keep up with demand.

What’s the problem?

Fossil fuels are finite sources of energy.

By burning fossil fuels, we are also increasing the amount of greenhouse gases in the atmosphere. This is contributing to global warming and climate change.

How can renewables help?

Renewable energy is derived from sustainable sources, such as wind and flowing water.

As well as being clean, these sustainable sources are also regarded as inexhaustible.
