Carron Valley exhibition to be held in Mayfield Centre

Published: 07/11/2011

Following on from the submission of a scoping report to Stirling Council, Partnerships for Renewables and Forestry Commission Scotland are holding a public exhibition to discuss the potential renewable energy project in Carron Valley Forest.

The public exhibition will take place at the Mayfield Centre in St Ninians, Stirling on Monday 21 November between 2pm and 8pm and people can drop in at anytime for a discussion.

Having carried out extensive feasibility work and received some responses on the scoping proposal, Partnerships for Renewables is continuing its work looking at a potential development. During the exhibition, the local community will be presented with key information including potential local viewpoints and will have the opportunity to ask questions to the development team.

Alan Mathewson, Regional Manager at Partnerships for Renewables, said: “We have spent some time looking at the forest and have identified a specific area for development, on Cairnoch Hill to the north of the reservoir. There is some way to go before any planning submission and still have some studies to complete. This event will be the first in a series over the coming months and we are keen to keep the local community informed of the results of our work so far and consult on any questions they may have on our development process.”

Anyone who is unable to attend the public exhibition should contact us via email: community@pfr.co.uk or by phone 0800 731 7395 and we will make alternative arrangements to discuss our work with them.
