Partnerships for Renewables delivers a service exclusively to the public sector.
We want to make it as straightforward as possible for public sector bodies to maximise their potential to provide clean, green energy to businesses and homes. This is why we have developed a service which is:
Integrated: we manage all aspects of the development, from screening sites and conducting feasibility studies to construction and operation
Low risk: we cover all project costs associated with the development, from feasibility studies and Environmental Impact Assessments through to planning applications and permitting
Responsible: as we cover all development costs and want to deliver well-sited and well-designed projects, we only pursue sites which we believe are appropriate for development
Thorough: every project involves detailed studies into all of the relevant environmental and technical issues surrounding it
Committed: we offer public sector bodies a long-term partnership throughout the whole life of a project to retain consistency and accountability
Cheaper electricity: where a renewable energy project is developed close to a load owned by our partner the provision of a private wire results in the provision of renewable electricity at lower cost.
Community engagement
In addition to satisfying the interests and legal responsibilities of the public sector body, we also engage with the local community at all stages of a project to ensure we understand and address their concerns.
To support this, every PfR project benefits from:
Community benefit package: we offer a market-leading community benefit package which consists of a community fund, receiving an annual payment, administered by representatives of the local community.
Open and inclusive consultation: by using a variety of methods including public exhibitions, mail drops, local media and our website we keep an open dialogue with the local community throughout the development process
