What Infrastructure is Required for Wind Energy
A wind energy development is likely to include the requirement for other infrastructure such as:
- access roads;
- onsite tracks;
- a wind monitoring mast;
- a substation;
- a control building;
- crane hardstandings;
- electric cabling; and
- a construction compound.
Some of this infrastructure is permanent and some is temporary and used for the construction period only.
