We have already had discussions with the statutory consultee with responsibility for birds – Natural England and as a result we have been monitoring bird activity over the site since September 2008. During the winter months we have been particularly looking at any birds that are spending the winter at the site or are passing through on a migration to other areas. We will be having further discussions with Natural England throughout the development process to ensure that they are satisfied with all of our bird monitoring and assessment activity.
