The meteorological or wind monitoring mast which is currently on site, is gathering site specific data mainly on wind speed and direction. This information is used to choose the most appropriate wind turbine for the site and project the amount of electricity likely to be generated. The information gathered will be assessed alongside existing historical data from the Meteorological Office to form a detailed picture of the sites likely long term wind resource.
